About the Host
The middle child of three, Cate was diagnosed with ADHD in 5th grade. She also was tested for giftedness in kindergarten, making her qualify as twice exceptional. During her sophomore year, she developed an interest in learning more about ADHD and other forms of neurodiversity. She created Twice Exceptional as a platform to spread awareness by sharing the information she was learning in a way understandable by the general public. Cate operates as the editor, social media manager, and host of Twice Exceptional.
What is Neurodiversity?
Neurodiversity is a term used to describe conditions such as autism, ADHD, and dyslexia (to name a few) that make a person act differently than the neurotypical ("normal") person. Neurodiversity should NOT be classified as a disorder.
