About the Host
The middle child of three, Cate was diagnosed with ADHD in 5th grade. She also was tested for giftedness in kindergarten, making her a twice exceptional individual. During her sophomore year of high school, she developed an interest in learning more about ADHD and other forms of neurodiversity. She created Twice Exceptional as a platform to spread awareness by sharing the information she was learning with the general public.
Currently, Cate is a student at Brown University studying statistics and is hoping to study dentistry in the future. Cate operates as the editor, social media manager, and host of Twice Exceptional. The podcast features stories from everyday people, educators who work with neurodiversity in their career and personal life, and even celebrities such as Dan Povenmire. Cate has conducted research on neurodiversity, diving into the differences that arise with gender and ADHD. She has presented at national conferences on neurodiversity, and hopes to continue to be an advocate for the community. In her free time, Cate enjoys baking gluten free treats.

What is Neurodiversity?
Neurodiversity is a term used to describe conditions such as autism, ADHD, and dyslexia (to name a few) that make a person act differently than the neurotypical ("normal") person.
